Bryce and Rachel, Demolition Experts! No job too big, or too small!

Zip Line in Mexico In Puerto Vallarta we went on a zip-line tour over the jungle. It was so much fun! Bryce and I were dorks and dressed up all matchy matchy. To punish us for our dorkiness they made us do this most dorkiest of all poses. Bryce's parents. Kason and Trent, who were forced to give a thumbs up. In Mexico people were always trying to get us riled up. Like saying "Good Morning!" "Good Morning" "What?? I can't hear you! GOOD MORNING!" Handsome Bryce Getting hooked up to a line. Me, on a zipline. It looks slow in this picture, but it was actually fast! See? So fast that Trent crashed into the state of the art duct-tape damper! Bryce and his vacation beard, looking stunning in a helmet and bandanna that probably 5000 other people had worn and not washed. This is the first time I have allowed myself to think about that bandanna bit. That is me again, not thinking about the dirty bandanna on my head. They let Bryce go upside down on the last...

The New Bed! Handsome Bryce McEwen and I have been doing some projects around the house. We decided it would be nice to have a new duvet cover, and set out looking at different deals on the internet. We found some pretty cheap ones, but we weren't sure about the quality. Then one day it hit us like a stack of bricks, we could make our own! Seriously, it's two large squares sewn together! How hard could that be? Turns out, not very hard at all. We got our white fabric for cheap in the fabric district in LA. Thanks to Haley and Clairice for helping us hunt it down! I wanted black satin pillow cases, because I was afraid black cotton would look dusty all the time. It turns out it was tricky to find decent quality black satin pillow cases, and impossible to find them for a decent price. (Seriously people who make bedding, everything you sell is essentially two squares sewn together! Who are you kidding???) So I made my own of those too. The only thing it is missing now is this FANT...

Hi-Hat Cupcakes I found this recipe for cupcakes and was so excited to try it! (If you want to make it truly Martha Stewartesque you could include a file, shim, or a stick of dynamite in each of your cupcakes!) The cake is one of the best made-from-scratch recipes I have ever made. Usually I just use cake mixes, because it is easy, cheap, and seriously, those cake mix people know what they are doing! I am glad I used the actual recipe this time though, because it is tasty! I gave them marshmallow tops, yummy! Then dunked them in chocolate. At this point Bryce came in and commented on how they looked like they were topped with little poos. As you can see below, my monkey salt shaker and I were totally scandalized by this, but only because we knew it was true. They were still tasty though!

New Axles for Elbert Actually new axles and a new tie-rod end for Elbert. Our car, Elbert, started making a horrible grinding noise when we made turns. Since we both like fixing things, and we both like saving money, we decided to fix this problem "ourselves". By which I mean, we called Grandma and Grandpa Dennis. Grandpa Dennis taught auto classes at Rick's College for years and knows pretty much everything there is to know about cars, Grandma Dennis knows quite a bit too. We called and told them what the trouble was and they helped us formulate a plan. Grandpa made me a list of tools, (and coupon codes!) for everything I would need for the job. I printed off his email, went to the tool store and held it up and said, "Help! I need all these things!" and the tool store people helped me get everything together. They also made many comments about what an excellent grandpa I had to make me such an excellent list, those tool store people were right. Then I got the c...

Dear Internet, You probably forgot about me, and I don't blame you. But I have been busy! Bryce graduated, hooray!! Now he is getting a master's degree! Also, I made PANDA Bread: The panda bread recipe can be found here . (I substituted pink food coloring for green tea.) Also, we went on a cruise to Mexico! More on that later. Actually, more on a lot of things later, we really have been busy. p.s. Bryce was on vacation so he didn't have to shave, still pretty handsome I think p.p.s. Bonus points to anyone who noticed the hidden Mickey in the panda bread pictures!
