So far Bryce and I are 2 for 2 in dominating pumpkin carving contests. This year's winner is a small fish-beast being overtaken by a large fish-beast. Bryce carved the large beast and I carved the small one. Camie and JD grew the pumpkins in their backyard and let us carve some at their exciting Halloween party. (The party was mostly made exciting by Jamie 's pumpkin, which fought back and wounded her finger, in a most savage fashion.) That is my understandably distressed pumpkin #2. Upon seeing her friend, small fish-beast, in peril, Pumpkin #2 Projects the Bat signal on the wall to call for help. This is her only special power. This was the sky this morning, looking pretty forebodingly Halloweenish. I will be so happy when it is tomorrow because there will be no more Halloween for a while, also Halloween candy will all be very cheap, plus there is a BYU game. Yay for the day after Halloween!

Candy Water I know water is really good for you, but since I have discovered "Crystal Light on-the-Go packs" water and I have rejuvinated our relationship. They have a new Cherry Pomegranate flavor. Normally I think Cherry things are gross, but in this case the Pomegranate balances it out and it is delicious. You can get some here , (which happens to be where I stole the photo from.)

Smelly I decided to make my own arifresheners based on this post . They are easy to make and don't require any electricity, I think they are pretty too. (You know, as pretty as sticks in a jar can be.) Essentially, they are just jars of smelly oil, with sticks that work as a time release mechanism. They suck the oil up and block the opening of the jar, that way the only smell comes from the perfume evaporating from the sticks. (Otherwise your house would be opressively smelly.) I ran into a few problems though. I tried using bamboo skewers, which are cheaper, but they did not draw the oil up very well. Another problem was that I could not find lemon essential oil anywhere! I wanted three air fresheners, Lemon, Lavender and Cotton scents. (I wanted those scents because they blend together so nicely.) I finally found some at this site . I recommend them, good service, fast shipping and the cheapest prices possible. :) I bought Pure Lemon oil here and mixed it with baby oil for the ai...

Halloween is Coming As is my tradition, I made pink cookies for Halloween. I actually dislike Halloween very much. This stems from the fact that I am a namby pamby pansie. I don't know what it is, but scary movies, uglyy decorations, yucky body-part food and that plastic-mask nasty Halloween smell, all bring out the wimpy baby in me. Now you know my shame. :( I slept in my sister's room (my little sister's room) after I saw "The Ring". I couldn't go to the bathroom at night after I saw "What Lies Beneath". I still have bad dreams about the made for TV, live action "Snow White". The sad thing is I didn't really watch any of these movies, I just heard them with my eyes clenched tightly closed. I admit it: I am a baby. Halloween constantly reminds me of this baby-hood. Everyone is always wanting to watch scary movies around Halloween and somehow I always end up agreeing to it. And I always regret it when I can't sleep at night.* So I m...

Writing in Books It wasn't until I was a sophmore in highschool reading, Lord of the Flies, that I realized it was possible to write in books. I filled the pages with notes, ideas and pictures; overjoyed at my newfound freedom. By the time I was a sophmore in college things had quite regressed. Observe the modified diagrams from my biology book: If I can bring a little joy into my humdrum Biology book, it makes me feel as though all my hard work ain't been in vain for nothin'. Bless you all.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K I am currently reading Bass Guitar for DUMMIES . In chapter 2 I stumbled upon this image. Supposedly this guy's name is "Patrick Pfeiffer"an allegedly excellent bassist. I think there is something more sinister afoot here. I think this is evidence of a Spaniard Cloning Scandal. "Patrick" is the clone genetically engineered for bass playing, and below we see his two brothers: "Pao" who was specifically engineered for basketball, and "Pete" who was specifically engineered for impersonating a llama . I have never been a fan of Gasol and now I know why. Something sinister is going on.
