Candy Pine Cones For Thanksgiving this year my sister, Haley, and I made candy pine cones! First we made some candy and shaped it like little pears: Then we stuck almonds into the candy: And we kept sticking almonds in until the candy started looking pine coneish. (The blue candy is coconut flavored, and the white is almond.) Then we dipped them in chocolate White and milk chocolate TA da! It's a decoration, no it's a treat! It's candy!!! We decided that next time we will make peanut butter centers. Happy Thanksgiving!

Blessing Clothes New Mormon babies are given a name and a blessing in church soon after they are born. This is something we do because of modern-day revelation . It is a little similar to a christening in some ways, but differs in others. You can read about baby blessings here . Mostly it differs in that the baby is not baptized, as we do not believe that the baby is accountable for their own or Adam's transgressions. It is similar in that the baby wears a fancy white little outfit though! Since McBaby has been born two things have happened, first my capacity for love increased greatly, second my capacity for extreme penny-pinching increased greatly. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a little outfit that he would only wear once. So I decided to experiment with making my own. I basically copied the construction of this little outfit. Family Pictures My fabulous sister-in-law, Tara, took some family pictures for us this week. I am really happy with how they turned out. I am working on some other projects that I will be posting about soon, but mostly I am just working on playing with my own personal piece of heaven. Thanks for the excellent pictures Tara! Squee!

Irresponsible A lady, named Ann Landers, made up this list of rules: If you open it, close it. If you turn it on, turn it off. If you unlock it, lock it up. If you break it, admit it. If you can’t fix it, call someone who can. If you borrow it, return it. If you value it, take care of it. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you move it, put it back. If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it. If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone. If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions. These are the kinds of responsible things that responsible adults say. I too would like to be able to go around spouting these kind of sayings, but I am shackled by my guilt. You see, I am pretty much the worst ever at following rules number 1,2,3,8, and 9. I try, I really try, but this is what happens: I am still working on it. Until I get this down, I just can't feel good about saying grown-up type things.

Hey We Had a Baby! We are so happy to have this most perfect baby! I'll be taking a little more time away from the blug, to spend time with Handsome Bryce and Handsome McBaby, because they are what matter most . I'll resume posting in a week or two. Have a fabulous day friends!
